hehe. people choosing six! we will have no six tracks here! LOL! (league of gentlemen styley)

i know its very hard to choose. he didnt do to many rubbish tunes did he! Cheesy

i too have a liking of his non studio material. however the layered depths to his sounds on grace and sketches are so cool.

darn you jeff for making it so difficult to choose 5 tracks (or 6!)  Smiley

but my other favourites are eternal life, the sky is a landfill, so real and probably mojo pin.
and like, every single other song he ever made.

Interesting studio choices flebbie  Cool

I agree - I have never warmed fully to MSTD, probably due to my continued rage against the woamn claiming to be Jeff's mom [now that he's dead and can't argue].

My studio faves:
Calling You [Grace outtake]
Mojo Pin

live:
Je N'en Connai Pas Le Fin / Hymne a l'Amour [Bataclan]
Led Zep /James Brown / Bach medley [Pacific Club]
The Man That Got Away [GAMH]
The Boy With the Thorn In His Side [Meltdown]
Curtains / We All Fall In Love [WFMU]
Sweet Thing [Roulette Club]
The Way Young Lovers Do [CBGB]

So - what are you trying to say, Nick? Well, Howie - I guess I'll always believe that Jeff was the consummate interpreter, and that as much as I love Grace - it's probably my third or fourth favorite record of all time - he'll always be best singing the songs of others.
